Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 4 clasps, Relief of Mafeking, Tugela Heights, Relief of Ladysmith, Transvaal (3381 Pte. R. Lennett, 2 R. Scots Fus.) good very fine and scarce £250-300

One of Barton’s Fusilier Brigade which comprised 2nd Royal Fusiliers (27 men), 2nd Royal Irish Fusiliers (20 men), 1st Royal Welch Fusiliers (1 officer and 25 men), and the 2nd Royal Scots Fusiliers (1 officer and 25 men).

Richard Lennett was born at Ayr, Scotland, and enlisted at Glasgow on 28 July 1891. Sold with copy service papers which confirm all clasps and show entitlement to the King’s Medal.
