South Africa 1877-79, 1 clasp, 1877-8-9 (1459 Pte. T. Harkin, 1/24th Foot) some nicks and marks, otherwise better than very fine £2800-3200

Thomas Harkin was killed in action at Isandhlwana on 22 January 1879. He had attested for the 24th Foot on 29 August 1867, aged 21, and re-engaged at Cape Town on 19 December 1876. His effects were claimed by his father.
