Harry Frewing was born at Woburn Green, Buckinghamshire and lived at Southsea, Hampshire. He was killed in action in France and Flanders on 26 April 1916 whilst serving with the 14th (1st Portsmouth) Battalion, Hampshire Regiment. He is buried at Guards Cemetery, Cuinchy.
