George Frederick Watts was born in Ipswich, Suffolk and enlisted at Watford, Hertfordshire. He was killed in action in France and Flanders on 30 July 1916 whilst serving with the 18th Battalion, Lancashire Fusiliers. His name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.
