Horace Edward Baness joined the Welsh Guards sometime in 1916, serving with them in France and Flanders from 26 May 1917 until 3 September 1918, subsequently serving with the Gurkha Rifles in India. Sold with copied extracts from the Welsh Guards regimental history in which Baness is mentioned several times.
