Douglas Royle Tweedie served in Egypt from 7 December 1914, as Temporary 2nd Lieutenant, Canal Defences. His Medal Index Card also states service with the Middlesex Regiment and Royal Flying Corps, and confirms his mention in despatches. See lot 653 for his miniatures.
