1914-15 Star (G-3688 Pte., R. W. Kent R.); British War and Victory Medals (GS-3688 Pte., R. W. Kent R.); together with memorial plaque (William Samuel Avery) nearly extremely fine (4) £60-80

William Samuel Avery was born in Islington and enlisted at Highgate, London. He was killed in action in France and Flanders on 26 September 1915 whilst serving with the 8th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment. His name is commemorated on the Loos Memorial, France.
