William Thomas Sparkes was born at Portsea, Hampshire, on 17 January 1862, and joined the Royal Navy as a Boy 2nd Class on 31 December 1878. He was discharged to Shore on Pension in January 1900 as a Chief Pety Officer. Sold with copy service record and medal roll.
