The Queen’s Bodyguard for Scotland (Royal Company of Archers) Victorian Side Arm’ of gladius form the 20” broad blade etched with the crowned VR cypher, the Royal Arms and sundry floral decoration, retailed by ‘W Purves & Son Edinburgh’, the cast brass hilt with raised designs, contained in its copper mounted leather scabbard, this fitted with a double sling patent leather frog, the blade retains much original polish but has slight pitting at the spear point, no gilt remains on the chapes and the patent leather crazed £150-250
