English Small Sword c1780, the 32” colichemarde blade with some 7” of simple engraving, the rococo fixed shells of intricately pierced iron, decorated pas d’ane rings quillons and stirrup hand guard, the globular pommel pierced and decorated, the grip covered with high quality silver coloured wire and metal strip binding; the vellum covered wooden scabbard retains top and bottom chapes the former in decorated iron and engraved Bibb Newport Street, the latter in silver coloured metal, some surface rust to the blade otherwise in very good condition, the scabbard split the full length of the stitched seam but all there. £300-400
