Silver coloured metal Small Sword, c1770 retailed by ‘Holden Ludgate Street’, the 34” colichemarde blade completely plain, the fixed rococo shells profusely decorated on both sides, reeded pas d’ane rings and stirrup hand guard this with additional decorated central lozenge section, the swollen grip with geometric and floral embellishment, the globular pommel similar, baluster knop; the wooden scabbard lacking the bottom section and all leather covering but does retain the top two silver coloured metal chapes, the sword in very good condition for age the quillon with slight distortion and the tip rusted away, scabbard as described. £300-400
