Epaulettes, a very rare pair of full dress box epaulettes c1830 of the pattern authorised for Generals, Lieut-Generals and Major Generals, the strap embellished with embroidered crown over crossed sword and baton, finial gilt button bearing the same insignia within a laurel wreath, gilt metal crescent over 3” bullion fringes; the linings bearing the trade labels for ‘Lewis’ Gold Laceman and Embroiderer Sword Cutler &c to their Royal Highnesses the Dukes of Kent & Sussex & the Prince of Hesse Homberg’, some slight loss of embroidery to the orb & cross areas, and very dirty overall, otherwise in good condition for age £300-500
