6th Lanarkshire Rifle Volunteers, a fine and rare officer’s silver plated die-stamped glengarry badge, a multi layered star of general Thistle outline with raised central oval this bearing central ‘6’ with unit title in surround c1880-1887; 31st Lanarkshire Rifle Volunteers (later the Blythswood Rifles), a very fine and rare other ranks die-stamped brass shako plate, central stencilled numerals ‘31’ with unit title surround, further large thistle spray surround and tri-part Thistle Motto scroll at the base, both items with two loop fasteners, near mint state (2). £300-350
