Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 1 clasp, Relief of Ladysmith (5563 Pte. W. Hinchon, Middx. Regt.) nearly extremely fine £60-70

William Hinchon was born in Fulham, London, and enlisted for the Northamptonshire Regiment at Kensington on 8 November 1898, being transferred to the Middlesex Regiment two days later. He served in South Africa from 2 Decemeber 1899 until 25 May 1900, and was discharged medically unfit on 31 May 1901. Sold with copy discharge papers which are marked ‘Deceased’, and a copy of the roll confirming his single clasp.
