Arthur James Lush was educated at King’s School, Canterbury, and Keble College, Oxford. Commissioned Rifle Brigade, Special Reserve, August 1914 and went to France 11 January 1915 and joined the 1st Bn. Wounded Second Battle of Ypres, 20 June 1915. Lieutenant July 1915 & Captain July 1917. Employed War Office in DR3 and MI6, 1916-18. Died 1973.

Albert A. Whitney was commissioned 29 January 1918 in the K.R.R.C., transferred to the Rifle Brigade and served in France with the 9th (Service) Battalion. Promoted Lieutenant, Service Bns., Rifle Brigade, 30 July 1919.
