Military General Service 1793-1814, 1 clasp, Corunna (B. Ratcliffe, 1st Foot Guards); Waterloo 1815 (Barth. Ratcliff, 3rd Batt. Grenad. Guards) fitted with original steel clip and straight bar suspension, edge bruising and contact wear, otherwise nearly very fine £1400-1600

Bartholomew Ratcliffe was born in the Parish of North Lufingham, near Stamford, Lincolnshire, and enlisted for the First Foot Guards at Stamford on 22 August 1799. At Waterloo he served in Lieutenant-Colonel W. Miller’s company. He was discharged suffering from rheumatism at Windsor on 2 November 1818.
