General Service 1962, 1 clasp, Northern Ireland (24294252 Gnr. T. Harkins, R.A.); Rhodesia Medal 1980 (24294252 L. Bdr. T. Harkins, R.A.); Zimbabwe Independence Medal 1980, officially numbered ‘13450’, these last two in their named card boxes of issue, together with Buckingham Palace letter granting restricted permission to wear the last, and photograph of recipient on service in Rhodesia, good very fine and better (3) £250-300

Lance-Bombardier Thomas Harkins served with 74 Heavy Battery (The Battle Axe Company), 32nd Guided Weapons Regiment, Royal Artillery, with the British Military Advisory Training Team in Rhodesia from December 1979 to March 1980. This battery was equipped with Swingfire surface to surface anti-tank missiles. Sold with copy record of service and further information.
