Great Britain, Rededication of the French Hospital and Dispensary, London, 1890, a bronze award medal by E. Lanteri, seated nurse between standing female and elderly man, rev. light from radiant star shines on ornate tablet, roses around, named (C. Phalempin, Commissaire Fondateur), 76mm (BM Acq. 1978-82, p.74, 33; BDM III, 302; BHM –; cf. DNW 39, 588). Good very fine and patinated, rare; in original green fitted case of issue (£50-70)

Although bearing the date 1890 the medal, which was struck in France, is dated to 1898 by Forrer and subsequent authors
