France, Défense Passive, 1945, a bronze award medal by R. Cochet, Angel protecting women and children from symbolic bombs being dropped by air, rev. warden clasping the hand of a victim reaching from the rubble of a destroyed building, named (G. Scholle), 59mm (cf. DNW 46, 828); St Hubert, c.1920, a plated bronze plaque by A.P. Schwab, kneeling figure of St Hubert with his dog, stag’s head at upper left, rev. coastal scene above arms, société canine bretonne around, 48 x 41mm (cf. DNW 48, 718); together with other miscellaneous base metal medals (3), by Rivet, Contaux, etc [5]. First good very fine, others generally about very fine or better; second in original maroon fitted case by Le Medaillier, Paris (£40-60)
