France, Queen Marie-Amelie, c.1830, a uniface bronze medal, unsigned, bust right in high relief, 61mm. Extremely fine, rare; set on a velvet-covered board and mounted in a wooden frame, with hook for suspension on the back (£50-70)

Marie-Amelie (1782-1866), daughter of Ferdinand IV, King of Naples and a direct descendant of Louis XIV, married Louis Philippe in 1809. Following the revolution in July 1830, her husband became King of France
