George I (1714-1727), Farthings (2), 1720, small obv. letters, on small ‘dump’-type flan, 20mm, 3.15g; 1723 (BMC –, 826; S 3662) [2]. First about fine, unusual and presumably very rare, second good fine and patinated (£80-120)

A 1721 farthing, also struck on a similar ‘dump’-type flan and in comparable condition to the present coin, was included in the Shuttlewood collection (
SNC February 2001, MC 0392)
