Henry VI (First reign, 1422-1461), Annulet issue, Groats (2), London, mm. cross II, younger bust with no fleur on breast, reads anglie, annulets in opposing quarters, 3.67g; Calais, mm. cross II, similar, reads angl, no broken letters, 3.50g (Whitton 7a, 11; N 1426-7; S 1835-6) [2]. First fine, second better but an excavated coin with surface encrustation on reverse (£40-50)
