A Great War M.C. group of four awarded to the Reverend Charles Cole-Hamilton, Army Chaplain’s Department

Military Cross, G.V.R., the reverse inscribed ‘Rev., C.F.’; 1914-15 Star (Rev., A.C.D.); British War and Victory Medals (Rev.) very fine (4) £350-400

The Reverend Charles Cole-Hamilton served as Chaplain to the Forces, 4th Class, with the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force, attached Royal Army Medical Corps, from 4 August 1915. The award of his Military Cross in 1918 has not been traced in the London Gazette but is confirmed in Army Honours and Awards 1914-18 and in Crockford’s Clerical Directory.
