Royal Midlothian Yeomanry Cavalry, a magnificent two part undress sabretache badge in cast silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1854, maker’s mark ‘J & Co.’, script capitals within broad thistle sprays, four bolt fasteners, the separate QVC silver but not HM, two bolt fasteners, worn c1843-1871; together with the corresponding two part rectangular waist belt plate, the plate mounted with a broad thistle spray, this also hallmarks for Birmingham 1854, the back plate and separate clip hallmarks for Birmingham 1853 (4), all in near mint condition £350-400
