Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 4 clasps, Orange Free State, Transvaal, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902 (5558 Pte. J. Harrison, Essex Regt.) very fine £60-70

Private J. G. Harrison served with the 1st Battalion in South Africa, attached to the 10th Mounted Infantry. He is further entitled to the clasp for Cape Colony, issued in March 1906. He was killed in action on 13 May 1915, serving with the 2nd Battalion, and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial.
