Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 4 clasps, Relief of Kimberley, Paardeberg, Driefontein, Transvaal (2), (6791 Pte. A. A. Curtis, Essex Regt.; 6180 Pte. C. Nicholson, Essex Regt.) the second with contact marks, otherwise nearly very fine (2) £80-100

Curtis served with the 3rd Battalion but is shown on the roll for Cape Colony and South Africa 1902 only. Nicholson served with the 1st Battalion and landed in South Africa on 15 December 1901, for service with the 12th Mounted Infantry; he is entitled to 4 clasps for Orange Free State, Transvaal, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902.
