Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 3 clasps, Transvaal, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902 (2), (6082 Pte. F. Friend, Essex Regt.; 5991 Pte. W. Morrison, Essex Regt.) both with edge bruising, otherwise nearly very fine or better (2) £80-100

Both 1st Battalion. Friend died in France on 19 August 1915, as Acting Lance-Sergeant with the 2nd Battalion, and is entitled to the 1914 Star and clasp trio. Morrison disembarked in South Africa on 15 December 1901 and served with the 12th Mounted Infantry.
