Edwin Bell was born in Crosthwaite, Cumberland, and lived at Threlked, Penrith, Cumberland. He died of wounds in France and Flanders on 10 April 1917. Bell was one of just three men of the 10th Labour Company, Queen’s Regiment, to be killed during the Great War.
