Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 1 clasp, Defence of Kimberley (Civ. Condr., A.S.C.) the clasp a comtemporary tailor’s copy; Kimberley Star 1899-1900, lacking top bar brooch, the reverse hallmarked ‘i’ for 1904-5, some pitting to the first, otherwise very fine (2) £180-200

Confirmed on the medal roll for 7 Company A.S.C. which was signed at Pretoria, 19 May 1905. Medal issued on 27 June 1905 but clasp not mentioned. Entitlement confirmed in roll by D. R. Forsyth, one of only 21 awards to the Army Service Corps and the only one in this rank.
