Royal Navy L.S. & G.C., V.R., wide suspension (T. H. Gallienne, Carpr. Crew, H.M.S. Immortalite 20 Yrs.) edge bruising, otherwise very fine £140-160

Thomas Henry Gallienne was born at St Peter Port, Guernsey, on 5 January 1835. He joined the Navy in August 1854 aboard the Pembroke, in which ship he earned the Baltic medal. He served as Carpenter’s Crew with Shannon’s Naval Brigade during the Indian Mutiny and is also entitled to the medal with Lucknow clasp. His L.S. & G.C. medal was awarded on 22 July 1874. Sold with research.
