Lieutenant Mounteney Kortright, attached 16th Lancers, died on 21 June 1900, at Johannesburg, of wounds received in action at Rietfontein, near Pretoria, on 30 May 1900. He was born in June 1872, and educated at Tonbridge School. He entered the 3rd Hussars, from the 3rd Essex Regiment, in January 1893, being promoted Lieutenant in February 1894.
