George Stanley Walker, M.B. was born in May 1865; joined the Royal Army Medical Corps in 1892, being promoted to Captain in July 1895. Whilst serving at Ladysmith he was mentioned in despatches by Lieutenant-General Sir G. White on 23 March 1900 (London Gazette 8 February 1901). Captain Walker died of enteric at Ladysmith on 23 February 1900.
