Crimea 1854-56, 1 clasp, Sebastopol (1772 Pte. Philip Percy, 56th Regt.) regimentally engraved naming, edge bruising and contact marks, otherwise nearly very fine £60-80

Philip Percy was born at Winterbourne, near Salisbury, Wiltshire, and attested for the 56th Regiment at London on 25 September 1839, aged 20 years 5 months. He served overseas in North America, Gibraltar, Bermuda, the Crimea and East Indies, and is entitled to the Crimea Medal with Sebastopol clasp and the Turkish Medal. He was tried once by Court Martial and was discharged in the rank of Corporal at Poona on 16 October 1860. Sold with copy discharge papers.
