Sir Mayson Moss Beeton, son of Isabella Mary Beeton- the “Mrs Beeton” who compiled the “Book of Household Management”; she died at his birth in 1865. During the Great War he worked in the finance department of the Ministry of Munitions and organised and administered the Newfoundland Forestry Corps. Awarded the K.B.E. (London Gazette 1 January 1920).
