Robert Alexander Simpson, a Private in the 1st Auckland Regiment, died of wounds on the Somme on 16 September 1916. The son of Mrs. Margaret Simpson of Salisbury Street, Christchurch, and the late Alexander Simpson, he is commemorated on the Caterpillar Valley (New Zealand) Memorial, France.

James Ernest Walkley was killed in action at Chunuk Bair, Gallipoli on 9 August 1915, while serving as a Trooper in the Wellington Mounted Rifles.

Harry Guthrie Whishaw, a Lance-Sergeant in the 2nd Auckland Regiment, was twice wounded in Gallipoli, on 15 June and 15 August 1915. He was subsequently killed in action in France on 3 July 1916. The son of John Henly and Katherine Elizabeth Whishaw of Featherston, New Zealand, he was buried in Cite Bonjean Military Cemetery, Armentieres, France; one Mabel Helen Wishaw, a nursing sister and most probably a relative, died at Featherston Military camp in November 1918; sold with copied service record.

William McDonald Wilson, a Private in the Auckland Regiment, was wounded in action in Gallipoli and died of his wounds in Egypt on 7 May 1915. The son of G. Wilson of Strachan, Banchory, Scotland, he had enlisted in Wellington, New Zealand and was embarked for Egypt - and Gallipoli - with the 3rd echelon of reinforcements for the Auckland Regiment. He was buried in Cairo War Memorial Cemetery; sold with copied research, including portrait photograph from the Auckland Weekly News.
