Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902 (2), 3 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, South Africa 1901 (7417 Corl. J. J. Beahan, Vl. Co. Ches. Regt.) initials and surname re-impressed, unofficial connection to last clasp; another, 5 clasps, Transvaal, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902 (7479 Pte. R. Miller, Vol. Coy. Ches. Regt.) unofficial connection between 1st & 2nd clasps, second with contact marks and edge bruising, nearly very fine and better (2) £140-180

James Joseph Beahan was born in Salford, Lancashire. A Clerk by occupation and a member of the 1st Volunteer Battalion Cheshire Regiment, he attested for one year’s service with the Colours, at Birkenhead, 22 January 1900, aged 24 years. With the Volunteer Company, Cheshire Regiment, he served in South Africa. With copied research; clasps confirmed.

Medal to Miller with copied roll extracts; clasps confirmed. Also with copied service papers to Robert Orford Miller, born in Birkenhead, 25 June 1881, who served as an E.R.A. in the Royal Navy, 1907-24.
