Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, undated reverse, 1 clasp, The Nile 1884-85 (871 Pte. R. Boag, 1/Cam’n. Highrs.) edge bruising, pitted, good fine £140-180

Robert Boag was born in New Battle, near Dalkeith, Midlothian. A Groom by occupation, he attested for the Cameron Highlanders at Edinburgh on 19 March 1884, aged 19 years, 8 months. Served in Egypt, August 1884-March 1887. Was absent without leave several times and imprisoned. Discharged in February 1889 as ‘incorrigible and worthless’. With copied service papers.
