Five Military Harness Badges and an 1872 Victorian Period Officer’s Commission, bit bosses to the Earl of Chester’s Yeomanry Cavalry in heavy brass with central white metal mount, a cast silver plated example ‘Infantry Mounted Officers’ and two similar items in die cast brass (all with Guelphic crowns), one fastener lacking on one item, 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards a good quality harness slide in heavy brass with central castle mount. A Lieut. Colonel’s Honorary Rank Commission to E. A. Hawker Esq., dated 9th Jånuary 1872, some staining to the latter item otherwise good overall condition (6) £80-120

Note: Ernest Augustus Hawker listed as a Paymaster to a Depot Battalion had commenced his service in 1830, he served with the 21st Royal North British Fusiliers in the Crimean War including the Battles of Alma, Balaklava and Inkerman, Siege and Fall of Sebastopol and the Expedition to Kinbourn (medal with four clasps and Turkish Medal).
