1st Goorkha Light Infantry Officer’s Hall Marked Silver Pouch Belt Plate Together With a Hall Marked Silver Whistle Guard Chains and Whistle, the extremely rare first item is of two part construction and displays the Imperial crown over a five pointed elongated star and circular battle honour background, ‘Bhurtpore, Aliwal, Sobraon, Afghanistan’, the star is overlaid with a circular disc ‘Goorkha Light Infantry’ and enclosing ‘1’ over crossed kukris, complete with three screw post fasteners; the disc mount is hall marked Birmingham 1886 by B & P (Bent & Parker). The whistle guard of standard lion’s mask pattern double chain and whistle, the guard, whistle and whistle case again hall marked en suite Birmingham 1886 by B & P, very good condition £500-700
