26th Middlesex Rifle Volunteers (Custom House) Officer’s Pouch Belt Plate c. 1860-1900, a good quality example in die stamped silver plate featuring a Saxon crown over an oval strap ‘Pro Libertate Patriae’ with applied pointed shield featuring the three lions of England, two screw post fasteners, very good condition £80-120

Note: The 26th Middlesex Rifle Volunteers (Custom House) was raised in 1860 and in 1880 was renumbered 15th with the title Customs & the Docks Middlesex Rifle Vols, becoming in 1908 the 17th Battalion the London Regiment.
