Royal Glasgow Yeomanry Other Ranks Helmet Plate c. 1860, of 1847 heavy cavalry style, a large St. Edward’s crown over a rococo shield flanked by ornate thistle sprays, the shield with a bi-metal mount being a white metal star of the Order of the Thistle with brass mount displaying a rampant lion within the motto of the Order of the Thistle, complete with three screw post and two double clip fasteners (one pair reduced), the crown with two holes, age cracks between the crown and the shield, the shield partly detached from the thistle sprays on one side, the orb of the crown with distortion £100-150
