Edward Carstairs Parker-Jervis, a Gentleman Cadet from the Royal Military College, was appointed a 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Welsh Fusiliers on 28 August 1930. Promoted to Lieutenant in August 1933 and Captain in August 1938. Captain Parker Jervis, ‘C’ Company, 1st Battalion Royal Welsh Fusiliers was killed in action at Dunkirk, 27 May 1940. He was buried in the St. Venant Communal Cemetery. He was the son of Major Edward Parker-Jervis and Eleanor Parker-Jervis, of Farndon, Cheshire.

With named condolence slip ‘Captain E. C. Parker-Jervis’. Also with copied research and photocopied images of the recipient who was an active sportsman in the field of cricket, polo and horse racing. Medals are mounted on a board with three badges and a modern photograph of his headstone.
