Henry Chalkley (’Chalkey’ on medals) was born in and enlisted at Dublin. Serving with the 1st Battalion Royal Irish Rifles, he died of wounds in England on 24 July 1916. He was buried in the Netley Military Cemetery. With original forwarding slips for the medals and copied casualty details.
