Private William J. Wollams was promoted to Corporal in June 1909 and Lance-Serjeant in Mach 1913. As a Serjeant he entered France on 9 September 1914 and joined ‘B’ Squadron. Was wounded at Potijze, 11 May 1915 and returned to England on 11 May. Later served as a Staff Serjeant in the Military Provost Staff Corps.
