Private Alexander Angus Bruce, H.Q. Lahore Division, A.S.C., entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 22 September 1914. He received a commission in the Royal Artillery on 20 August 1917. Serving in ‘B’ Battery, 156th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, he was killed in action, Flanders, on 24 June 1918, aged 28 years. He was buried in the Gwalia Cemetery, Flanders. Lieutenant Bruce was the son of William and Eliza Bruce and husband of A. A. Bruce, of 43 Slateford Road, Edinburgh. With copied m.i.c. and casualty details. Clasp not confirmed.
