Three: Surgeon Lieutenant C. H. Savory, Royal Navy

1914-15 Star (Surg., R.N.); British War and Victory Medals (Surg. Lt., R.N.) mounted as worn; together with a mounted set of three miniature dress medals - the British War Medal bearing 5 clasps, North Sea 1914, Dogger bank 24 Jan’15, North Sea 1915, North Sea 1916, North Sea 1917, full-size medals with some edge bruising, very fine (6) £120-160

Charles Harley Savory gained a B.A. at Cambridge, 1912. Trained in Medicine at Cambridge and St. Bartholomew’s; M.R.C.S. Eng., L.R.C.O. Lond. 1915; registered as a Medical Practitioner, 5 May 1915. Appointed Surgeon Lieutenant 15 April 1915; Surgeon Lieutenant Commander in June 1926 and Surgeon Commander in June 1932. Placed on the Retired List at his own request on 1 September 1938 and still on the Retired List in 1951. He died on 28 February 1956. With some copied research.
