Pair: Sergeant F. Stevenson, Seaforth Highlanders, killed in action France/Flanders, 11 March 1915

Francis Stevenson was born in Falkirk, Stirlingshire and enlisted at Linlithgow, Linlithgowshire. Served as a Drummer in the 1st Battalion Seaforth Highlanders on the N.W. Frontier of India 1908. Awarded the Delhi Durbar Medal in 1911 as a Lance-Corporal. As a Corporal in the 1st Battalion he entered France/Flanders on 12 October 1914. As a Sergeant he was killed in action, at Neuve Chapelle, 11 March 1915. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial. With copied roll and war diary extracts, m.i.c. and other research. Entitled also to a 1914 Star trio of medals.
