Arthur Edward White was born in Handsworth, Birmingham. A Butcher by occupation, he attested for the Corps of Dragoons at Birmingham on 15 January 1894, aged 18 years, 2 months. With the Inniskilling Dragoons he served in South Africa, October 1899-September 1902. Served with the Army Reserve, November 1902-January 1906. With copied service papers and roll extracts.
