Royal Victorian Medal, G.VI.R., 1st issue, silver, unnamed, in leather case and card box of issue; Jubilee 1935, unnamed, in leather case; Coronation 1937, unnamed, in (damaged) card box of issue; Coronation 1953, unnamed, in (damaged) card box of issue; Royal Household Long and Faithful Service Medal, G.V.R., 1911-1931, 2 clasps, Thirty Years, Forty Years (H. Absalom) in case of issue, extremely fine (5) £500-600

Frederick Henry Absalom was awarded the R.V.M. in Silver on 1 January 1943 as Carriage Washer at the Royal Mews, Buckingham Palace. He was the father-in-law of Henry Edward Harrison, R.V.M. - see lot 105.

With Central Chancery award document for the R.V.M., named to ‘Mr Frederick Henry Absalom’ and signed by ‘A. H. L. Hardinge’ - 2nd Baron Hardinge. Also with the award document for the Jubilee 1935 named to ‘Mr Henry Absalom’ and the booklet to accompany the Royal Household Long and Faithful Service Medal.
