18th Century, Slough, William Till, Proof Halfpenny, 1794, in silver, lion rampant to left, red lion inn, etc., around, rev. view of the Red Lion inn, w till above the door, edge plain, 13.17g/12h (DH 24). Minor hairlines and a tiny graze by lion’s left forepaw, otherwise brilliant and practically as struck, attractively toned, very rare (£250-350)
